This is a Grasshopper routine that runs in Rhino3d and lays out the saddle and bridge pin holes.

The controllable parameters are:

  • String count
  • String spacing
  • Saddle angle
  • Saddle slot width
  • Saddle slot thickness
  • Distance from pins to saddle (center of pins to center of saddle)
  • Diameter of pins
  • Optional pin pilot hole diameters (set to zero for none)
  • Pin orientation – horizontal, or parallel to saddle

Please note this routine requires the Pufferfish plugin for Grasshopper, which is available for free from food4rhino.com

The above version is the latest version 1.1, which has updated bake functionality available in Rhino 8.

If you are running Rhino 7, I believe the old 1.0 version (below) will work – if anyone can confirm this please send me an email.
